Savannah Voices Festival represents a unique and complex event that will sweep you off your feet. Our festival includes many performances by artists with different backgrounds and taste in music which work hard every year to be here with us in the city of Savannah. What ties them is the love for fun, people, Savannah and especially- music. Savannah Voice Festival is a unique mixture of dance performances, singing performances ( solo or group), instrumental performances and all kinds o art. It’s accompanied by many other contents that will keep you occupied and having a great time.
WHY VISIT US?
We can’t explain in a few sentences why should you visit us. The experience you will gain, the people you will meet, the photos you will take and the energy you will taste aren’t describable. We offer you a few days in which you will have the opportunity to escape your daily routine and experience Savannah in a different light. Our Festival doesn’t just have a fun character, but a charity factor too. With each ticket, a certain percentage of your money is put into many different charities and organizations, some years those are related to music, other times the money is put into associations for children or old people. We don’t just choose the charity by ourselves; you are a part of this step too.
Savannah Voices Festival is proud to say that we aren’t only a festival event, but a community that gathers once a year to support the art scene in Savannah and to help those in need, all that while having the time of our lives.

- Problems we had to deal with
OUR FESTIVAL IN MAKING
Our festival is all about enjoying the beautiful Savannah and the arts. Each year we try hard to make the best out of our festival and we have a lot of help in the process. If you have ever thought that organizing any event is easy, you are wrong. Organizing anything is hard, even the easiest things like a movie night with more than three people. So, you can only imagine how complicated it was to organize an event for more than thousands of people from Savannah and visitors from all over Georgia and rest of the US. Each time we speak to a friend we always here one question; how do you do it? And here it is, our audience. Here is a story behind the festival, a story about how we organize this entire magical experience and how we deliver it to you. We hope this will finally clarify the whole process of organization and that you will give our dear sponsors attention because without them it would not be possible to represent dance studios, solo artists, bands and other local performers from all over Georgia and other parts of the US.
When you organize a festival, it is not as easy as organizing some other type of event. Some events you can go and hold it step by step; 1. The grand opening, 2. Preformer A, 3. Preformer B, 4. Dinner, 5. Leaving. Festivals aren’t as robotic as that, that could be both good and bad. In one way, it would make everything easier because we would have everything planned step by step. No serious changes of scenario would happen, and everyone would know where they have to be, how long and when they have to finish. On the other hand, it would simply not be us. We like the freedom of compromises, changes, and last-minute including. Our free-organization gives us an entirely new experience. Each year, we have to bring something new to our audience, and we try hard to do so. We want to surprise our dear visitors, and we want to hear the words such as „amazing,“ „Oh my God,“ „I can’t believe it“ when people are going through the exit.
This year we’ve done an incredible job choosing the perfect singers, bands, and dancers. Our teams and staff have outstood themselves. We are so proud of our volunteers and thankful forever for the commitment and dedication they showed throughout the entire process of organizing Savannah Voices Festival. We were able to get in touch with some of the big musicians and dancers, and when it comes to the content- we rocked it. However, the way to success wasn’t as easy.
Organizing a meeting is one thing; ten chairs, one board and some pens and papers. Hosting a music/art festival is another; huge stereos, microphones, lights, all the equipment needed, fences for the crowds, electronic equipment and so on. It is a whole new level of complexity. Last year we had problems with moving all those things as well as installing the constructions. That’s why we had to let go of our previous moving company and we were in search of the right one. Luckily, one of our collaborates recommended us the top moving company in Savannah.
At first we were not really amazed at the idea but, hey, we had approximately 350 pounds to move in a week. So, we decided to give them a shot. They were all we ever wanted. Our performers were extremely cautious and told us to be careful with the equipment about 100 times. We know from experience that not everything can be moved successfully because the equipment is sensitive and fragile. However, we were surprised to see that all of the fragile things were properly put together and secured. We can honestly say that we’ve never had such a comfortable ride from place A to place B. Our electronics arrived safely and everyone was satisfied. That’s why we asked the movers to move our structural things for building as well. They’ve done an amazing job with that as well!
With all of this said, we are so thankful to all of our sponsors for supporting us and helping us. We are so happy that we partnered with them and they were part of our adventures and we can’t wait for the next year to make and even better and more exciting festival!
- How did our festival go
LAST FEW WORDS UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN…
Our dear sponsors, volunteers, organizers, helpers and most importantly visitors, another year is behind us and with that, another Savannah Voices Festival is behind us as well. You can only imagine all the emotions we are feeling today. A little bit nostalgic, a little bit sad that it is all over, extremely happy, very proud and thankful for the opportunity. We knew that everything would be over, but we did not know how fast everything will happen once again and how perfect everything will turn out to be. This year is just another proof that we are doing something right, that we are making people feel good, that we are promoting the art of every kind. We are so happy that we have the opportunity to bring this festival to the beautiful city of Savannah and to the best audience we could ever ask for.
It was a dream come true for us, the organizers. This year’s festival was different than all the others in many ways. It was a risky move we did, and we are so glad that we were brave enough. We introduced a lot of new artists and a lot of new fields to our festival. This year, our festival did not only introduced the top vocal and instrumental artists. We made a whole compilation of arts. Our audience enjoyed dance performances, art collections, speeches from inspiring artists, music performances by artists from many new genres that were not previously showed in our festival. Bands or solo voices, single or group dance performances – they all made our festival perfect and our audience happy. Another new part we introduced this year is movies. We got to work with filmmakers from all over the United States who wanted to show the people of Savannah how films work and how you can express yourself by working on them. A small cinema became a big success, over 1 0 000 people watched movies from independent artists during these three days of heaven. Filmmakers also held small classes and lessons on making films; how to find a sponsor, how to find inspiration, where to film, what camera to use etc. Our dance performances were also genius. Solo dancers and group performances made our audience experience a completely new adventure. Dance studios from all over Savannah showed up to help us improve our festival. But hey, people, that’s not all! This year, we got a lot of compliments on our food offer! And we are so happy about it! While on the previous festivals you could only eat traditional southern sandwiches, this year we introduced Asian, Mexican, street food to out small stands that surrounded the stage.
Words can’t describe how thankful we are. We could not have done anything without the support and help of some people and companies. First of all, a big and special thanks to our volunteers who gave their hearts and souls to make this festival a dream come true for us organizers and audience. Without you we could not go through this, you helped us function, you helped us fundraise, you helped us create an unforgettable experience for our audience with your kindness and patience. For that we thank you.
Next of, thanks to all sponsors. Let’ s face it, without you, none of this would be possible. Thanks to our local restaurants who decided to give us a chance- thank you for making our visitors happy with the delicious food you prepared. Thanks to our catering that kept our staff- volunteers and organizers full all the time. Thank you to Red Bull and Coca-Cola Company for making our audience ready to rock for all night long.
Most importantly, big thanks to South Shore Roofing. These people helped us create the whole thing. Thanks to this company, we were able to have a big, glorious stage, all the stand for food and drinks and every construction that was at our festival, was thanks a roofing company from Savannah, GA.
They offer a wide range of services when it comes to roofing. Whatever you want, they will provide you with. Until working with them, we didn’t know what a big industry roofing is. South Shore introduced us to everything. They are a qualified and trustworthy roofing company that does as many services as you can imagine. No matter if you are interested in residential roofing, commercial roofing, roof repairs or roof installations- they have an answer to everything! They are based in Statesboro, GA but they offer their services all around Georgia, so you are probably covered too. They offer an inspection of your roof before repairing it; they offer you warranties when installing your roof. Their mantra is that communicating is the key to success. South Shore allows you to say what you want and how you want it. They make sure that they provide you with the best materials for your roof and the best service. They do residential roofing accompanied with metal roofing asphalt shingles and flat roofs. If you are an owner of commercial property, then they can be of great help because they offer commercial roofing and repairs. There are a lot of shingles you can choose from in South Shore, and they provide a lot of information on these.
Be sure to check out the South Shore Roofing because we can’t thank them enough!
Dear visitors, we hope that we will be seeing you next years, same place!
